Group size: between 4 and 10 participants. Maximum 14
Group composition: Participants attend the course with an Erasmus+ grant or suing private funds, and come from a variety of European countries. This multicultural composition fosters intercultural exchange and peer learning.
Language of instruction: The course is delivered in English.
Schedule: The course is organized either from 10:00 to 14:00, from 10:00 to 15:00, or from 10:00 to 14:00 with two additional afternoon sessions or guided tours.
DESCRIPTION
This Erasmus+ English language course is designed to support education professionals in developing practical communication skills in English within an international and intercultural environment. Delivered in Barcelona, the course combines language learning with real-life communication tasks relevant to professional and educational contexts.
The course focuses on improving speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, with particular emphasis on oral communication, interaction, and confidence-building. Participants will work on everyday and professional language use, including classroom communication, meetings, presentations, and international cooperation.
Through interactive lessons and practical activities, participants will develop vocabulary, grammatical accuracy, pronunciation, and functional language skills. Cultural elements are integrated into the course to enhance intercultural awareness and to support effective communication in European and international settings.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

COURSES
Participants are grouped according to their CEFR level (A2, B1, or B2) following an initial needs analysis, ensuring targeted instruction and effective learning outcomes.
Course Description (by Level)
A1-A2 – Elementary Level
This level focuses on developing basic communication skills in everyday and familiar professional situations. Participants work on simple sentence structures, essential vocabulary, and basic pronunciation to build confidence in speaking and listening. The course supports participants in understanding and using English for routine interactions and basic professional communication.
B1-B2 – Intermediate Level
At B1 level, the course aims to improve fluency and accuracy in everyday and professional communication. Participants expand their vocabulary, improve grammatical range, and develop the ability to express opinions, describe experiences, and participate actively in discussions related to education and work contexts.
B2-C1 – Upper-Intermediate/Advanced Level
This level is designed for participants who already use English with relative confidence and wish to refine their language skills for more complex professional and international contexts. The course focuses on advanced speaking skills, nuanced vocabulary, structured argumentation, and effective communication in meetings, presentations, and Erasmus+ project environments.

Participants will have the opportunity to work on their oral communication skills in an authentic academic setting. Sessions involve short lectures, specific learning tasks, group work, vocabulary building, and pronunciation exercises. Participants will be placed with the right class and level to increase their competence in the English language.

Afternoon activities: Guided visit and Historical Route in Gothic and Medieval area in Barcelona, museums... Cultural activities are optional and free.

If the course dates have to be postponed/changed due to an emergency situation, the fees paid will be valid for any other course offered by SpainBcn-Programs during the following 12 months.
