HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION IN BARCELONA The program offers participants an exciting chance to speak Spanish and becoming part of Spanish life in Barcelona. By staying with a carefully selected Spanish family, students strengthen their language skills and steep themselves in the Spanish culture. CAREFULLY SELECTED SPANISH HOST FAMILY Families are carefully selected. Each family has been personally visited and selected by SpainBcn Directors. Our students are placed with the host families according to their preferences. Participants have filled up a "Host Family Questionnaire" when they enrolled in the program to inform us about their requests regarding their host family accommodation in Barcelona. Students can be placed alone with the host family or together with 1 or 2 other participants of the program, depending on the students' choice. They can have a shared or private room. All bed linens, pillows and towels are provided.

WHO ARE OUR HOST FAMILIES Our host families are diverse including couples with children (of all age groups), young couples without children and older couples with grown children who are no longer at home. All our families take very good care of the students and offer them a warm and kind environment. Families love to have our students at home and they help us to supervise them and take good care of them. Host families live in the same area of the School. They are well educated and polite people. Families live in some of the best neighborhood in Barcelona. Many of students can go walking as they will live 10 to 20 minutes walking distance from the School. MEALS Breakfast and dinner Monday through Saturday and the 3 meals on Sunday are with the host family. Lunch from Monday through Saturday is at SpainBCN School. There is a package-lunch for the excursion days.

RULES The student will be expected to make his/her own bed, help to keep the room tidy, leave the bathroom clean. 1 or 2 laundries per week. CURFEW Students under 18 are not allowed to be away from their home in Barcelona overnight (after 11,30 pm). Curfews will be strictly enforced. A student bad behaviour may then result in the school contacting the parents/guardian. They will need to speak with their child and solve the problem. The School and the host family are not responsible of the student who does not follow the program's rules. ** Those parents or guardians who want to permit their children to go out during the night need to send us a formal permission slip explaining what days students can go out and when he/she must return. The School will have in those cases the option of moving this student to another host family.
