ABOUT OUR SPANISH HOST FAMILIES :

All our host families are carefully selected.  SpainBCN Directors have personally selected all the host families: they have visited the host families at their home before sending our students.
We trust our host families and we are in touch with them constantly.

The host families live in some of the best areas of the city, in nice neighborhoods. They are all very nice, polite and well educated people.
Families offer a warm environment, 2 laundries per week and breakfast and dinner Monday through Saturday (lunch is at SpainBCN) and 3 meals on Sundays when there is no activity scheduled in the program.

According to the participants' preferences we will place them alone at the host family or with 1 or 2 other participants of the program.

If for whatever reason the student is not happy with his/her host family, she/he has to inform us, at SpainBCN School , immediately. We will solve the problem or we'll move the student into a new family.
We also ask to the student/s to follow the family house's rules.

WHO ARE OUR HOST FAMILIES:

Our host families are diverse including couples with children (of all age groups), young couples without children and older couples with grown children who are no longer at home.
All our families take very good care of the students and offer them a warm and kind environment.
We make sure before sending our students that the host family does like to have our students at home.
All bed linens, pillows and towels are provided.

Host families live in the same area of the School, in the most centric part of the city. Students can go walking: most of them live 8 to 15 minutes walking distance to the School and between them
.
MEALS
Breakfast and dinner Monday through Saturday and the 3 meals on Sunday are with the host family.
Lunch from Monday through Saturday is at SpainBCN School.
There is a package-lunch for the excursion days.
RULES
The student will be expected to make his/her own bed, help to keep the room tidy, leave the bathroom clean. He/she will be expected to respect the program's curfew.
A student bad behaviour may result in the school contacting the parents/guardian. They will need to speak with their child and solve the problem.

CURFEW:

Students under 18 are not allowed to be away from their home in Barcelona overnight (after 11,30 pm). Curfews will be strictly enforced.

** Those parents or guardians who want to permit their children to go out during the night need to send us a formal permission slip explaining what days students can go out and when he/she must return. The School will have in those cases the option of moving this student to another host family.

*
The School and the host family are not responsible of the student who does not follow the program's rules.
