    Barcelona is a city with more than 2000 years of History and it's also a fantastic city with singular buildings (Antonio Gaudi's Art and Modernist style) Barcelona is a modern city that combines all the fascination of the Spanish Culture with the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea and the vibrance of the most important port in southern Europe.         

The beauty of its old Gothic quarter combines dramatically with the modernity expressed by the world-famous architect Gaudí. Many of his works of art decorate the streets of Barcelona and pre-eminent above all the unfinished cathedral of La Sagrada Familia.
Salvador Dalí, Miró and Picasso are also some world-famous artists who left their traces to be visited in the Barcelona area.

HISTORY OF BARCELONA:
This is a dynamic and cosmopolitan capital on the Mediterranean coast, founded by Roman, and formerly called Barcino. Barcelona is a city full of contrast, of special interest are its Gothic monuments, that reflect a period of grandeur. After the demolition of the city walls the Eixample and the 1888 World Fair marked the beginning of a period of rapid expansion which was to culminate years later with the Modernist period, an amazing and unique phenomenon. Finally, the 1929 World Fair and the holding of the 1992 Olympic Games both made a significant contribution to the process of modernizing this fantastic city...
